him & her XXXIII: happy halloween

H E R:

Everyone observes Halloween a little differently. If you're a parent, you roamed your neighborhood with kids in tow, knocked on doors and racked up a ton of tootsie rolls.

They wore adorable costumes and you probably did too. It's all about keeping it G-rated, with pink princesses and friendly ghosts.

Then, there's the adult-themed Halloween. If you're in this category, you go all out for this holiday. You put together a trendy group costume and hit at least three parties. It's the one time of the year you can really tell a lot about a person's interests based on their outfit.

And finally, you have the serious observer's of Halloween. These are the types who may practice witchcraft of some kind - or just are really into gore, so they spent the entire year sorting out their blood-soaked costume and their Halloween plans ahead of time. To them, this holiday is no joke.

I love Halloween as much as the next person, or maybe a little more. Obviously it doesn't hold a candle to Christmas, but it's still one of my favs.

This year I had three costumes, but my favorite was Hillary Clinton for sure. We had a little Halloween party with friends. We had food, dancing, and karaoke. It was the perfect night. We went all out for this Halloween!

H I M:

Halloween is one of those holidays that I have always enjoyed but since knowing Hannah has become a much much bigger deal in my life. I think that Hannah likes Halloween more than me like 60% of the time. She goes all out and it is pretty fun to see.

She usually comes up with the costume ideas and so far they have all been on point. Last year we were Grandparents and this year we decided to hit up one of the most DEBATE-able topics of 2016, Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton.

We figured a lot of people might be this but heck why not be something that is trending. I have the mean muggin’ Trump face and Hannah has the “The Future is Female” look to a T.

Every year there are a few costumes that you see at every party and are trending on social media. This year was:

The cast of Stranger Things
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton
Grandparents
The Joker and Harley Quinn
Inflatable Anything
Star Wars
Pokemon

We had a pretty good time and I kept making sure
everyone knew that Hillary was a crook. Halloween 2016 was a hit!
