mormon tweet.

i have been home for a little over a month now and it is definitely different than being in school. although i miss rexburg and my friends i have absolutely loved being home.
being around my parents more and living a slower lifestyle has really been a blessing.

something that has been on my mind since the first of the year is the gospel.
one of my (many) new year's resolution was to finish the book of mormon by april 10th. i have only finished this wonderful book once in my life and i wanted to challenge myself. obviously being home i've had way more time to read and ponder. But it made me think how sometimes i get caught up in life and seem to forget the real purpose.

for three full days in october i gave up my phone and all social media for a project for my communications class. i had become too obsessed with my phone that it was a challenge to be without it.  as ridiculous as it sounds  it was an eye opening experience. it just showed me how much things like twitter, texting, instagram, facebook don't matter. i have been distracted by these worldly things when i need to be more focused on what really matters in this life.

the church of jesus christ of latter day saints has just given me everything. it's the reason for all my happiness and i have no idea where i would be without it.
